The miraculous story of Gopal Bhatta Goswami, the Saligram Shila transformation on Narasimha Chaturdashi, and 480 years of uninterrupted seva.
In the spring of 1542 CE, on the sacred full moon night of Vaisakhi Purnima, Gopal Bhatta Goswami prayed before his 12 sacred Damodara Shaligram Shilas. The next morning, one of the sacred stones had self-manifested into the exquisite deity of Radha Raman.
The sacred kitchen fire (Agni) ignited in 1542 using holy Vedic mantras has never been extinguished, and all bhoga offerings are prepared over this single unbroken sacred flame.
