The Panchkosi Parikrama of Vrindavan covers approximately 10 kilometers, encircling the holy township where Lord Krishna performed His childhood pastimes. According to the Skanda Purana, walking this circuit clears the mind and awakens pure divine love.
Pilgrims conventionally begin at dawn at Keshi Ghat, where Lord Krishna bathed after liberating the horse demon Keshi.
The route passes the sacred Kadamba tree at Chir Ghat and the ancient temple of Lord Shiva as Gopeshwar Mahadev, concluding along Raman Reti back to the Yamuna.
