In 1515 CE, Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu sent the Six Goswamis to Vrindavan to excavate lost pastime places and construct the foundational seven temples (Sapta Devalayas) that define Vrindavan’s spiritual topography.

Radha Madan Mohan (Sanatana Goswami), Radha Govind Dev (Rupa Goswami), Radha Gopinath (Madhu Pandit), Radha Raman (Gopala Bhatta), Radha Damodar (Jiva Goswami), Radha Shyamasundar (Shyamananda), and Radha Gokulananda (Lokanatha Goswami).
2. Radha Damodar Giriraj Shila
Houses the sacred Govardhan Shila gifted by Krishna to Sanatana Goswami. Four circumambulations around this shila yield the spiritual merit of the full 21 km Govardhan Parikrama.
